The top of the front page has a nice five column headline: "FIVE MISSING HAWAII FLIERS ARE FOUND ALIVE BY THE SUBMARINES R-4, 15 MILES EAST OF KAUAI; DRIFTED 500 MILES IN NINE DAYS ON THE OPEN SEA" with subheads and photo of the crew including Rodgers. (see) Lengthy first report coverage continues on page 2 with another related photo and map. Always nice to have notable events in history reported in this World famous publication.
