November 28, 1812

THE WEEKLY REGISTER, Baltimore, Nov. 28, 1812  Inside has; "Monroe's Treaty" with subhead: "Treaty of Amity, Commerce & Navigation between his Britannic Majesty and the United States of America" which takes several pages with 4 signatures in type, including James Monroe, and dated Dec. 31, 1806.
Also within: "New Sicilian Constitution" "Revolutionary Virtue" and over 4 pages under the heading: "Events of the
War" which includes: "Military" "To the Men of New York" "Indian War" from Frankfort, Kentucky and which is quite detailed (see photos), signed in type by: Samuel Hopkins; "Naval"; a letter signed by: Isaac Chauncey from Sacket's Harbor; "The New Army Bill" and more.
Sixteen pages, 6 by 9 1/2 inches, even toning, otherwise in very good condition. Close trimmed on some pages which does cause some lose of text in the Monroe's Treaty.

This small size newspaper began in 1811 and was a prime source for national political news of the first half of the 19th century. As noted in Wikipedia, this title: "...(was) one of the most widely-circulated magazines in the United States...Devoted primarily to politics...considered an important source for the history of the period."
