THE WEEKLY REGISTER, Baltimore, Dec. 4, 1813  Among the reports are: "The War-Tax Laws" "Captain Jesse D. Elliot" "Governor Shelby" "Vermont Militia" with a section headed: "Events of the War" taking over 6 pages & including subheads: "Military--The Northern Armies" "Official Correspondence--From Gen. Wilkinson to the Secretary at War" "Extract from the General Order of Gen. Wilkinson"; a letter: "From General Wilkinson to General Armstrong" dated at French Mills; "Naval"; a lengthy article on "Impressment" and much more.
Complete in 16 pages, 6 1/4 by 9 1/2 inches, very good condition.

This small size newspaper began in 1811 and was a prime source for national political news of the first half of the 19th century. As noted in Wikipedia, this title: "...(was) one of the most widely-circulated magazines in the United States...Devoted primarily to politics...considered an important source for the history of the period."
