THE WEEKLY REGISTER, Baltimore, Jan. 15, 1814 Inside has over 2 pages on: "Proctor's Papers" prefaced with: "The following letters found among major-general Proctor's baggage captured on the Thames unfold many curious facts--and also show that the enemy's force...was much greater in the Upper Province than has been generally supposed." and what follows are many correspondences.
There are also 6 1/2 pages of: "Events of the War" with much reporting on the War of 1812 including subheads & reports such as; "British Courtesy!" "Retaliation" "The Embargo" "Spies Caught" "General Order" "Military--The Creeks" and several letters signed in type by Geo. McClure, Wm. Henry Harrison, John A. Rogers and Amos Hall.
Complete in 16 pages, 6 1/4 by 9 1/2 inches, scattered foxing, otherwise in generally good condition.
As noted in Wikipedia, this title: "...(was) one of the most widely-circulated magazines in the United States...Devoted primarily to politics...considered an important source for the history of the period."
