DAILY RICHMOND EXAMINER, Virginia, March 27, 1862 A nice newspaper from the capital of the Confederacy. The front page is mostly taken up with ads and notices, but it does have: "An Act to Organize the Territory Of Arizona". Inside has much on the war including a nice editorial which begins: "The affair at Winchester is without general signification. It was an attack by the Confederates, undertaken on false information, gallantly executed, &, although unsuccessful, was not disastrous..." Also inside: "Movements & Spirit Of The War" "The Battle Near Winchester--Further Accounts" "The Battle of Fort Henry" "The Falling Back of the Army of the Potomac--The enemy Foiled" "The Legislature Of Virginia" "The Confederate Congress" "Telegraphic News" and other items. The back page is mostly taken up with a lengthy list of Acts of the Confederate Congress, many of which relate to the Civil War.
Four pages, never bound nor trimmed, very nice condition.
