Bridgetown, Barbados, rebuilds with New England timber...

THE LONDON GAZETTE, England, Aug. 6, 1668 A front page report from "Lyme" says: "Yesterday arrived the Concord...in six weeks from Barbado's [sic]....They tell us that the Inhabitants of Bridgetown are busily employing themselves for materials for rebuilding that place, and have emploied many ships for the transportation of timber from New England."
A single sheet issue, 7 by 11 1/2 inches, some dirtiness to the upper portion of the ftpg., trimmed close at the right margin causing minor loss of text on the reverse.
