NEW YORK TIMES, Aug. 3, 1921

* Chicago "Black Sox" White Sox
* 1919 World Series of baseball scandal
* Not guilty verdict - "Shoeless" Joe Jackson
* Enrico Caruso death - Italian operatic tenor

The top of a front page column has the historic verdict on the White Sox players who were accused of conspiring to throw the 1919 World Series. The top of the front page has a one column heading: "WHITE SOX PLAYERS ARE ALL ACQUITTED BY CHICAGO JURY" with subheads: "Two Others, Indicted With Them, Are Also Declared Not Guilty" "Verdict In three Hours" and more. (see) The report takes most of the column & concludes on page 2. Despite the court verdict, the commissioners of baseball would ban all eight players accused. Always nice to have notable events in history reported in this World famous publication.
Of unrelated interest is another ftpg. column heading: "ENRICO CARUSO DIES IN NATIVE NAPLES; END CAME SUDDENLY" with more.
Complete in 24 pages, light even toning, some margins wear with a few small tears, generally good. Should be handled with care.
