Babe Ruth and the Yankees as they analyze the 1927 World Series...

Item # 647062

October 10, 1927

THE NEW YORK TIMES, October 10, 1927

* The greatest team ever in major league history ?
* New York Yankees win World Championship
* Babe Ruth & Lou Gehrig

A nice issue reviewing the World Series just won by the Yankees. The sport's section (page 18) has a banner headline: "Exodus of Yanks Homeward Begins; Pirates Unacclaimed on Reaching Pittsburgh" with subheads. Also a two column heading on the same page: "Ten Records Broken on World's Series, Most of Which Are Shattered by Ruth" (see) Always nice to have notable events in history reported in this World famous publication, especially on this topic.
Other news, sports and advertisements of the day. Complete in 44 pages, light toning at the margins, nice condition.
