A nice newspaper from the capital of the Confederate States of America. The front page has: "The War News--Division of Sherman's Forces" "The Yankees in King & Queen--The Enemy We Are Fighting" "The History of the Military Operations of the Past Year in Mississippi & East Louisiana" which includes a very lengthy & detailed report of General Johnston, signed in type: J. E. Johnston, General.
The back page includes; "Later From the North--The Spring Campaign--The Grand Object to be the Capture of Richmond--The Armies to be Concentrating Against It..." "A Negro Accidentally Shot" and other war-related items.
Complete as a single sheet newspaper with a full banner masthead, very nice condition.
