THE NEW YORK TIMES, May 2, 1920.

* Babe Ruth's 1st Home Run
* 1st season w/ New York Yankees
* Historic MLB Baseball item
* Best title to be had (rare)

The sport's section (page 20) has a one column heading: "RUTH DRIVES BALL OVER GRAND STAND" with subheads that include and subheads: "Colossal Clout of Home-Run King Helps Yankees in Their 6 to 0 Victory Over Red Sox" "Bob Shawkey In Fine Form" & more. (see) First report coverage discusses Ruth's tremendous blast mentioning in part: "The only other citizen who has ever slapped the ball over the stand was Joe Jackson, a few seasons back." This was Ruth's first homer as a Yankee. Summary also mentions the fine base running by Ruth. Always nice to have notable events in history reported in this World famous publication, especially on this event. Very rare as such.
Other news of the day. Complete 1st section only with all 24 pages, some damage at the spine causing a little unrelated text loss but not affecting the Ruth report at all, otherwise in good condition.
