THE MIDDLESEX JOURNAL & EVENING ADVERTISER, London, March 2, 1775
* Prelude to the Revolutionary War
* Rare 18th century British title
The ftpg. has a bit beginning: "The pamphlet entitled 'The Present Crisis With Respect to America Considered' was taken up, it seems, by Charles Fox, in the House of Commons...conceiving the work as a fabrication...".
Over half of pg. 2 has news from America, most concerning the growing tensions that would lead to war. One item mentions: "...in the House of Commons...holds forth the olive branch to the deluded Americans upon terms honourable to the crown & Great in Britain...if not prevented by the rebellious machinations of the fanatical desperadoes; men of the most tyrannical principles...". So much more great content (see photos for portions).
Great back pg. content from Connecticut to discuss & approval the recent Resolves from the Continental Congress (see).
For pages, archival repair at the spine, good condition.
