THE NEW YORK TIMES, October 4, 1930

* Notre Dame Stadium opening
* 1st ever game (day of) - Fighting Irish

The sport's section (page 200 has a banner headline: "Harvard, Princeton, Penn, Navy, Notre Dame Elevens Will Open Campaigns Today" with subheads and text that includes: "Notre Dame starts its new season in its new stadium...." A great item for any Notre Dame fan. Always nice to have notable events in history reported in this World famous publication.
Other news, sports and advertisements of the day. Complete in 38 pages, a little irregular along the spine, generally nice.
