The front page has a great banner headline that reads: "ASSAULT EASY WINNER IN 72D KENTUCKY DERBY..." with subheads and photo at the bottom of the front page of "Assault" in action. Rarely did the Kentucky Derby receive such front page prominence in newspapers of the day. Assault would go on to win the Triple Crown in 1946.
Complete in 72 pages, nice condition.
