NEW YORK SEMI-WEEKLY TRIBUNE, Sept. 7, 1852

* Karl Marx

Page 6 includes an editorial written by Karl Marx on "Corruption at Elections" in England a few years after publishing The Communist Manifesto. He writes in part:"...The bribery and intimidation practiced by the Tories were, then, merely violent experiments for bringing back to life the dying electoral bodies which have become incapable of production, and which can no longer create decisive electoral results...The New Parliament begins where the old one ended; it is paralytic from the hour of its birth...". The full editorial takes about 1 1/2 columns.
Eight pages, great condition.
