DAILY DISPATCH, Richmond, August 3, 1861

* First Battle of Bull Run
* Manassas VA Virginia
* Great title to have

A nice newspaper from the capital of the Confederacy. The front page includes: "A Graphic Picture" "The Thirtieth Virginia Regiment" "The Charlotte Rifles" "War Incidents" "The Irish In Georgia" and other smaller items. Included also are 4 illustrated runaway slave ads.
Inside reports include: "Gen. Scott" "Missouri" "A protracted War" "Southern Currency" "The Private Soldier" "Retaliation" "THE WAR--Facts & Incidents of the Late Battles, etc." which has among the subheads: "The Battle of Bull Run" among many others; "From Washington--Strict Discipline Inaugurated--Affairs at Harper's Ferry" "Reported Battle In Missouri--The Hessians Again Routed" and many other smaller items.
Four pages, a bit irregular at the spine margin but generally in nice condition.
