Page 5 has an item which reads: "...I beg leave, sir, to offer my sentiments on the supposed right to tax the Colonies, and on the measures that have been lately unfortunately adopted respecting America..." with more concerning taxation (see).
Another page has an item from New York which notes: "...Assembly of Georgia having rejected the memorial, sent them by the Lower House, of the re-appointment of Benjamin Franklin, Esq., Agent in Great Britain for the said Colony..." with a bit more (see). This is followed by a report from Philadelphia (see), and following this is more concerning the "Hutchinson Letters Affair" which involved Ben Franklin, bits including: "...He availed himself of the license of the bar to insult the venerable Dr. Franklin, whose knowledge in philosophy, universal benevolence, just sentiments of liberty, and indefatigable labours to promote harmony between Britain & her colonies..." with more. Near the end of the piece is: "...On Governor Hutchinson's breast was fixed the following label: "'Governor HUTCHINSON, whom we now consign to the gallows & flames as the only proper reward for double-dealing & treachery to his native country..." with a bit more (see).
Eight pages, 8 1/2 by 11 inches, partial red ink tax stamp on pg. 4, very nice condition.
