February 07, 1775

THE MIDDLESEX JOURNAL & EVENING ADVERTISER, England, Feb. 7, 1775  Some nice content on the trouble brewing between England & the colonies with the ftpg. having in part: "...we find that a part of his Majesty's subjects in the province of Massachusetts's Bay have proceeded so far to resist the authority of the supreme legislature & that a rebellion at this time actually exists within the said province; and we see..they have been countenanced & encouraged by unlawful combinations & engagements...in several of the other colonies..." with much more (see). Also a ftpg. letter from an office in the 38th Reg. in Boston concerning deserters (see).
The bkpg. has American content as well as shown in the photos, one bit including: "...that the rebellion of the Americans must be opposed & quelled by this country if she had the most distant hope of retaining the colonies in their subjection to the crown of Great Britain...That if the present measure was rejected all idea of retaining America in subordination to Great Britain must vanish..." and more.
Four pages, nice condition.
