* Emma Lazarus death
* American poet - writer

The back page has over half a column headed: "Emma Lazarus" "Death of An America Poet of Uncommon Talent". Although not a name known by all, one of her works is known by almost all, as she wrote the poem which appears at the base of the Statue of Liberty, "The New Colossus" which includes the memorable words: "...Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore...".
Complete in 16 pages, some older mends to some pages but not on the noted page, browned & somewhat fragile with minor margin chipping. Should be handled carefully.
