Page 3 has an item headed: "Boxing" noting in part: "The long expected fight between Ward and Mendoza...was prevented by the interposition of the magistrates. The combatants arrived at Uxbridge...and informed them of the determination of the magistrates to prevent tee fight..." with more on the cancellation of this boxing match (see). Daniel Mendoza was a famous Jewish boxer (see the web).
