The ftpg. has a letter mentioning in part: "...an English merchant in Alicant, to have a ship named the Mary admitted into that port because coming from New England with a lading of cod fish, she could not be suspected of the Plague..." with more on this.
Complete as a single sheet issue, 8 1/2 by 14 1/4 inches with 2 handsome engravings in the masthead, great condition.
