June 09, 1883

ST. LOUIS GLOBE-DEMOCRAT, Missouri, June 9, 1883

* Dodge City War - Kansas
* Outlaws - Barber brothers lynched
* Independence, Buchanan County, Iowa

This uncommon Midwestern title has news of the day with many advertisements. Page 7 has an article headed: "LYNCHED AT LAST" "The Barber Brothers Hanged by a Mob at Waverly, Io." and more.
This issue is not fragile as newsprint back then was made of cotton and linen rags, allowing them to remain very pliable and easy to handle. Complete in 16 pages, a little irregular along the spine, nice condition.
