THE TRI-WEEKLY MERCURY, Charleston, South Carolina, Nov. 14, 1863

* Rare Confederate title
* Origin of the Civil War

Certainly one of the less common Confederate titles in the market. Ftpg. war reports include: "Notes of the Cavalry Campaign of October, 1863" "The Siege--125th Day" "The Elections IN the North" which begins: "If the appointments of Lincoln are all copperheads & traitors, as his partizans allege, then, in spite of his 'victories' in Ohio and Pennsylvania, he wears his crown by a very precarious tenure...". The bkpg. includes: "The Campaign In Virginia" "Vandalism at Charlestown" "The American Statesmen" "Some Curious Developments as to How the Yankees Dispose of Their Contraband" and more.
Complete as a single sheet issue, full folio size, one tiny hole near the center, good condition.
