The Quasi War with France...

THE WEEKLY MUSEUM, New York, Feb. 10, 1798 Pg. 3 has a report of the treatment of Americans overseas: "...that they are left destitute and no business but privateering going on; many of them are obliged to enter into that service against their own countrymen--that the American flag is treated contemptuously--and Americans insulted in the streets." This relates to the Quasi War (see the web for more on the Quasi War).
Also an article: "Conjectures on the Origin of Sneezing". Four pages, 9 1/4 by 11 3/4 inches, various foxing.
