Page 2 has a report from New York mentioning: "We have made a beginning of casting of brass cannon in this city. Yesterday a brass six pounder, cast by James Byers...city is formed into four battalions...properly uniformed and make a fine appearance." And another item notes: "...sailed from hence for America having on board a detachment of Marines...same day a new ship of 50 guns was launched...she is put into commission bound for America...".
Another page has an advertisement for: "A Concise, Historical Account of all the British Colonies in North America...Massachusetts Bay, the seat of the present civil war, together with the other Provinces of New-England..." with more. Yet another page has a quite lengthy letter concerning America, beginning: "Every thinking person can consider the present contest with America in no other light than an effort on one side towards independence, and maintaining of parliamentary supremacy on the other..." with much more, taking most of the page.
Another page has a nice article beginning: "Every thinking person can consider the present contest with America in no other light than an effort on one side towards independence, and maintaining of parliamentary supremacy on the other..." with much more. There is a lengthy petition from the inhabitants of Georgia to the King which has some interesting content (see for portions). Also a report from Quebec concerning the Revolutionary War, with a prefacing note: "...the inhabitants were then packing up their effects to prevent falling into the hands of the provincials who were within 15 miles of them."
Eight pages, 8 1/2 by 11 1/2 inches, in very good condition.
