The ftpg. has: "The White Stockings" "Reception Game at Chicago--The Playing--Honors in the Evening--A Banquet Without Wines". In the summary about a game played at Ogden Park in Chicago, it says that a "goodly number" of those in attendance were "...ladies, many whom...asserted their independence as to proceed to the grounds by themselves, walk up and by a ticket, and take their seats as though they were perfectly accustomed to that sort of thing." Describes the White Stockings as the "most famous nine in the country", with a few details about their opponents, the Picked Nine team. Says the Nevans & Deans Band was on the ground, and supplied lively airs between the innings. Includes the box score. Also details about the "dry" banquet after the game.
Eight pages, nice condition.
