HARPER'S WEEKLY--CHRISTMAS, Dec. 14, 1895 Certainly the feature of this issue is the great Maxfield Parrish front cover which shows a waiter delivering a plate with Christmas pudding. Typically this desirable cover is lacking as they were extracted from volumes over the years. Rare to find an issue with this cover intact. There is a minor stain at the right center of this image (see).
Although the prints within pale in comparison, they include a full pg: "The Christmas Season in the Shopping District."; a 1/4 pg. portrait: "Madame Calve as Anita in 'La Navarraise'."; full pg: "Buying Christmas Presents." 2/3 pg. illus: "Maternity."; full pg: "Je Vous Salue, Marie (Hail Mary)."; doublepg. centerfold: "An Unwelcome Toast."; 2/3 pg: "An Assisted Emigrant."; half pg: "Too Late! - A Danger of Moose Hunting."
