PENNSYLVANIA PACKET & DAILY ADVERTISER, Philadelphia, Oct. 20, 1788  The ftpg. features 15 illustrated ship ads, among a host of other advertisements. Page 2 has a letter from Marietta to a friend in Mass. beginning: "Perfect peace has hitherto attended us, nor have we great reason to apprehend ourselves in danger; but the fear of the natives enhanced by every possible false representation which the settlers on the frontiers of Penna. and Virginia can make have in some measure retarded our settlement..." with more.
Four pages, never-trimmed margins, ink stain to the right margin, very nice condition.
