* Very rare Confederate title from North Carolina
This is a single sheet newspaper with just a one column masthead, not uncommon from the Confederacy where newsprint was often difficult to come by. From the early part of the Civil War with many items relating to it, including article headed "Resolutions of Mississippi on the Victories in Virginia" is concerning Bull Run; and "Admission of Missouri as a Member of the Southern Confederacy" includes the bill to admit Missouri as a Confederate state (see); plus "The News From Missouri" and a letter from Camp Holmes in Virginia with some interesting war-related reports.
The bkpg. is almost entirely taken up with ads. Some minor margin tears, minor loss at the right edge affects just a few words on pg. 1 only, light browning. A rare title from the Confederacy.
