This issue reports on game 5 of the infamous "Black Sox" World Series, this game won by the Cincinnati Reds, 5-0. The sports page has a banner headline: "Hod Eller, Setting New Series Record, Shuts Out the White Sox" with a banner subhead and many other headlines on this game. A nice photo of "Hod Eller" the pitcher for Cincinnati, headed: "His Feat of Fanning Six Consecutive Batters Creates Record Unequaled in World Series".
The ftpg. has a half column report with head: "Eller Is Hero In Red Triumph" "Moran's Pitcher Sets a Series Record by Fanning Six Sox in Succession" and more (see).
Complete in 26 pgs., light toning, a few small margin tears, generally good.
