This issue reports on game 5 of the infamous "Black Sox" World Series, this game won by the Cincinnati Reds, 5-0. The sports page has a banner headline: "Hod Eller, Setting New Series Record, Shuts Out the White Sox" with a banner subhead and many other headlines on this game. A nice photo of "Hod Eller" the pitcher for Cincinnati, headed: "His Feat of Fanning Six Consecutive Batters Creates Record Unequaled in World Series".
