* First Circus show under electric lights
A nice pg. 2 ad for Cooper and Baileys Great London Circus which says the: "Dense Night will be converted into Dazzling Day by Electric Light using 18 Electric Light Chandeliers equal to 35,000 gas jets at a cost of $15,000".
One of the main attractions described as: "A Herd of 10 Monster Monarch Elephants". (see)
A front page report on the circus states in part: "...This feature alone being new, and one that no other show can have as the Messr. Cooper, Bailey & Co....have the exclusive right to use it in tented exhibits....".
Four pages, rejoined at the spine, nice condition.
