January 21, 1826

NILES' WEEKLY REGISTER, Baltimore, Jan. 21, 1826  The prime article is: "Re-assemblage of the Jews" which has a letter somewhat critical of the efforts of Morecai Manuel Noah to create a homeland for the Jews on Grand Island in the Niagara River.
This is followed by some responses by Mr. Noah.
Also within: "Slave Labor" which is brief, and over half a page on: "Officers of the Navy" which lists the number of the various ranks, plus names of the captains, masters commandant, and lieutenants.
Sixteen pages, 6 1/4 by 9 1/2 inches, nice condition.

As noted in Wikipedia, this title: "...(was) one of the most widely-circulated magazines in the United States...Devoted primarily to politics...considered an important source for the history of the period."
