Rare title in original blue wrappers...
Item # 644707 THE NEW LONDON MAGAZINE, England, October., 1792 No, this is not the much more common "London Magazine" we often offer (although formatted like it and the 'Gentleman's Magazine'), but a more rare title "New London Magazine" which existed only from 1785 thru 1792. Crane & Kaye (Census of Newspapers 1620-1800) notes that only one American institution has any issues from 1792 within their holdings.
The photos show the content within. Included are both full page plates called for, one showing: "The Right Honorable Lord Macartney" and the other: "A Representation of the Agave, A very Curious Plant".
Complete in 48 pages, full title/contents page, rare in that still in original blue wrappers, never bound nor trimmed & with original string bindings, 5 1/2 by 9 inches, very nice condition.
