* re. Alexander Hamilton - Aaron Burr duel

The first column of a page is headed: “AMERICA & THE WEST INDIES” reporting: “By the New York papers, we learn, that the Coroner’s Inquest, held on the late Gen. Hamilton, have brought in a verdict of ‘Willful murder against A’ Burr, esq. Vice President of the United States... It is also stated, that Mr. Burr was attacked with dropsy in his head, and was lying extremely ill near Philadelphia.”
Both full page plates called for are present (see).
Complete in 96 pages, 5 1/4 by 8 1/2 inches, full title/contents page with an engraving of St. John’s Gate, very nice, clean condition.
