DAILY INDEX, Carson (City), Nevada, May 4, 1881  Coin collectors are very familiar with this town (the capital of Nevada) for the mint which produced the famous "C.C." mint marks on gold & silver coins it produced. Situated just east of Lake Tahoe at the western "elbow" of the state, this issue from its heyday during the mining era. Various local news tidbits, one: "Sitting Bull will not surrender."
Four pages, 9 3/4 by 13 1/2 inches, great condition.
