THE LONDON CHRONICLE, England, Aug. 15, 1778

Inside has a letter from Charleston, South Carolina, which has near the beginning: "...we received the resolutions of the Congress on the letters from the Commissioners from restoring peace, etc. our Assembly immediately met, resolved on the propriety of the said resolutions, and sent an express to Congress..." with more (see). 
The back page includes: "...Sir Henry Clinton was got no further than Mount Holly in the Jerseys; which is only 15 miles from Philadelphia. General Washington was very strong & getting his army over the river with all possible dispatch & expected to make a Burgoyne business of it. The whole country & all the militia in New Jersey & Pennsylvania were raising..." (see).
Eight pages, 8 1/4 by 11 inches, very nice, clean condition.
