THE LONDON CHRONICLE, England, Dec. 15, 1778

Page 2 has several items relating to the Revolutionary War including: "...were gone to the West Indies...in hopes of destroying this expedition of the British troops...was compelled to leave the harbour of Boston for want of provisions..." and "...from Carolina...reports that the inhabitants of that province had come to an unanimous resolution to embrace the terms lately offered by the British Commissioners...instructing their delegates to move for a general peace with Great Britain & without delay..." plus a letter from New  York, as well as another letter from Dublin noting: "...that the provinces of Georgia & Connecticut have thrown off the America yoke & declared for the King...reason...is this, the hardships they suffer from the Congress are more than they can bear..." and more (see).
Reports from the "House of Commons" taking 1 1/2 pages includes some mentions of America & the war.
The back page has a letter from Charleston which includes in part: "...that a large body of rebel troops landed on the East end of Long Island where they threw up a breast-work...and strongly fortified the opposite shore to secure their retreat; that they proceeded above 20 miles, ravaging & carrying off the property of the inhabitants..." and more (see).
Eight pages, 8 1/4 by 11 inches, very nice, clean condition.
