LONDON CHRONICLE, England, Oct. 22, 1776

A report on an inside page under London says, in part: "...the following expeditions are actually carrying into execution by the Americans, viz. General Lee, with 400 men, has marched against St. Augustine in Florida; Gen. Schuyler, with 15,000 has crossed the Bay of Fundy to attack Halifax; and one Arnold has re-entered Canada with 6,000 men, by the principal branch of the river St. Lawrence...".
An extract of a letter says that an American schooner going from Brest to Philadelphia was intercepted and that several letters were found on board, including one addressed to John Hancock from Mr. Hamilton, after which is the text of the letter from Fred. Hamilton (to Hancock).
Eight pages, 8 1/2 by 11 in., some staining to the first two leaves, generally good condition.
