The front page has a fold banner headline: "WAR WITH SPAIN HAS NOW BEGUN" with another banner: "Woodford Has Left Madrid and the Fleet at Key West Has Been Ordered to Blockade Havana, While a Call for 100,000 Volunteers Will Be Made To-Day." with various additional heads concerning the beginning of the Spanish-American War. This was a result of Spain breaking off diplomatic relations with the United States and ejected the American ambassador.
Eight pages, small binding slits at the blank spine, nice condition.
