Certainly the prime content in this issue is the: "PRESIDENT'S SPEECH to Congress, being the annual state-of-the-union address of George Washington, contained on both pages 1 & 2 of this single sheet supplement issue (see photos). It is signed by him in type: Go. Washington, and at its conclusion is a note that the senate appointed the Right Reverend Dr. White as Chaplain of Congress, and that the House appointed the Reverend Dr. Green as its chaplain (see). Dr. White was the 2nd Chaplain of the United States Senate, and his home is now part of Independence National Historic Park.
This supplement is included within the regular 4 page issue of this scarce title, on the front page of which is a nearly full column letter signed in type: G. Washington, to the Congress.
Six pages with the supplement, nice condition.
