The top half of the front page has a two line, two column headline on one of the more significant Judaica reports of the 20th century: "New Jewish State Is Born; Violent Warfare Begins" with a one column subhead: "Jewish Dream Of 2000 Years Becomes Reality". There is a report datelined from Cairo concerning Egypt invading Palestine, followed by a report datelined Tel Aviv which begins: "A new Jewish state was born in Palestine today & immediately bitter Arab-Jewish fighting for Jerusalem began..." with more.
Complete in 4 pages, four binding holes at the spine affect a little but not close to the mentioned report, generally in good condition.
