* Franklin Pierce inauguration
* Washington D.C. prints
Most of the front page is taken up with a nice print of: "President Pierce". Inside prints include: "The President Leaving Willard's Hotel, Washington" "President in Vic-President's Room", a full page: "Interior of the Rotunda--Procession to the Portico", a doublepage centerfold: "Assembling of the Multitude at the Eastern Portico at the Commencement of the Inauguration Ceremonies". Also a half page of the 'President's House, Washington" being a nice view of the White House; "Inauguration Ceremonies of General Washington" from 1789; and a full page of: "The Retiring Cabinet". The full back page is a very fine: "Bird's-Eye view of Washington, From The Capitol" which shows much rural area.
P.T. Barnum was a "Special Partner" in this publication (see photos). Sixteen pages, a few minor stains near margins, good condition.
