LESLIE'S ILLUSTRATED, New York, May 10, 1856  The full ftpg. shows: "Uniform of the City Guard, New York". Prints inside include: "Funeral Procession of Capt. Wm. McArdle, N.Y." "Savings Bank New Building, Bleecker St., N.Y."  "Arrival of Mr. Buchanan at the Everett House, New York" "Washington Hall, Bridgeport, Conn." "Crimean Heroes & trophies" "The New American Merchant Ship 'City of Mobile' ".
Perhaps the most notable print is that of: "Major Noah" with a related article on Mordecai Manuel Noah which is essentially a biography of this notable Jew, including mention of the several newspapers he published (see hyperlink for more on him). Noah was the American born Jew to reach national prominence.
Complete in `16 pages, very nice condition.
