* Battle of New Bern
Very unusual for this scientific journal to have most of the front page taken up with a nice map captioned: "Map Of The Battle of Newbern" with the balance of the page consumed with a related article. The map shows some detail of the New Bern vicinity including the various ships in the Neuse River (see).
A very nice, displayable issue & rare to find a Civil War map on the ftpg. of this periodical. Sixteen pages, great condition.
