April 05, 1968

THE ATLANTA CONSTITUTION, Georgia, April 5, 1968

* Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. assassination
* 1st report w/ nice headline for display
* The city where he was born and raised (rare)

The front page features a nice banner headline announcing: "King Shot, Dies in Memphis; 4,000 Guards Sped to City" with subheads and 2 related photos. (see) Much related content on the front page & more inside inside including a full page pictorial. Great to have this first report on his death from the city where he was born and raised. Rare as such.
This is the complete first section (of 4) with pages 1-26. A little wear along bottom margin, generally in good condition.
