THE ANALECTIC MAGAZINE, Philadelphia, July, 1820
* Pennsylvania State Capitol
This was a very famous literary-themed magazine, but this issue features a nice full page engraving: "State Capitol at Harrisburg, Pennsylvania" which shows the first capitol when it would be completed later in 1820. That building would be destroyed by fire in 1897 with the new--and current--capitol opening in 1906. Accompanying the print is a very detailed five page article: "Description of the State Capitol of Pennsylvania, Now Building at Harrisburg".
Complete in 88 pages, full title page, disbound, measures 5 1/4 by 8 1/4, various foxing, generally nice condition.
