Page 17 has a one column heading: "GEN. GODFREY DIES; INDIAN WAR HERO" with subheads. (see) First report coverage on the death of Edward Settle Godfrey, United States Army Brigadier General who received the Medal of Honor. He was a surviving lieutenant of the 7th United States Cavalry of the Battle of the Little Bighorn. I suspect this is one of the few publications to report this particular event as other titles in our inventory do not.
Other news, sports and advertisements of the day. Complete in 36 pages, light toning at the margins, nice condition.
