Pg. 2 has a report concerning events just after Cornwallis' surrender, noting: "...the army had been separated into 3 divisions; one to go up the country of Virginia, one to North Carolina, & a third to Pennsylvania...the Carolina division had seized the arms & ammunition of the rebels who guarded them...At the time of the surrender of Cornwallis's army there were 2500 sick...".
Pg. 3 has a report mentioning John Paul Jones including: "...Resolved, That the thanks of the United States...be given to Capt. John Paul Jones for the zeal, prudence, and intrepidity with which he has supported the honour of the American flag..." & more. Rare to find mention of him in period newspapers.
Eight pages, 8 1/2 by 11 1/2 inches, nice condition.
