THE GENTLEMAN'S MAGAZINE, London, April, 1765 Among the items within are: "An Account of the Life of John Wicliff [Wycliffe]" "Remarks on a Plan for Amending the Highways" "An Account of the Eastern Plane-Tree, or Sycamore" "An Account of the Imprisonment of John Bunyan" and so much more.Near the back is the "Historical Chronicle" which has the latest news reports of the day. Included is the only plate called for, being a foldout measuring 8 by 10 inches showing: "A New Improved Pump Bucket or Piston" which has several folds in it.
Complete in 52 pages, 5 by 8 inches, full title/contents page with an engraving of St. John's Gate.
A nice issue of this very famous & successful British magazine from this significant year of the Stamp Act, and some ten years before the outbreak of the Revolutionary War.
