The masthead has a banner of the: "Non-Partisan National W.C.T.U." (Women's Christian Temperance Union) focused on the elimination of alcohol from society. This organization still exists today (see Wikipedia). This issue features a lengthy biography of Sarah "Annie" Turner Wittenmyer, its first national president (recently died) including a ftpg. photo of her.
A rare, semi-monthly publication, 9 1/2 by 12 1/2 inches, nice condition.
