NEW YORK EVENING POST, Aug. 11, 1815

* re. Napoleon's loss at Waterloo
* To be exiled to America ?

Page 2 has a report from Paris: "We presume that the frigates which are to transport Napoleon Bonaparte to the United States of America are waiting at Rochefort..." and a bit more. It was though that was where he was destined, but the British sent him to the island of St. Helena.
Following this is some nice reflection on the Battle of Waterloo, with comments on how close Lord Uxbridge came to capturing Napoleon, but he miraculously escaped (see for more).
Four pages, very nice condition.
